TYPE OF INCIDENT: Double homicide/Attempted murder of a police officer **Update**
DATE AND TIME OCCURRED: August 21, 2011; 1712 hours
LOCATION OF OCCURRENCE: 1033 Prince Street El Cajon
SUSPECT: Kevin Collier
RESUME OF INCIDENT:
The Medical Examiner has released the identities of the three people who died in the murder/suicide which left an El Cajon Police Officer critically wounded.
The body of Rhilee Collier had earlier been found in the back seat of a truck parked on the street in the 1000 block of Prince Street. The cause of her death was a single gunshot wound to the head.
The burned remains of Beverli Rakov were found inside the back of the house. The cause of her death was a gunshot wound to the head. Kevin Collier’s burned remains were also found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The Medical Examiner used dental records to identify both adult decedents.
