TYPE OF INCIDENT: Attempt Car Jacking and Robbery
DATE OCCURRED: September 16, 2010, at approximately 11:47am
LOCATION OF OCCURRENCE: Parkway Plaza, 415 Fletcher Parkway, El Cajon
LOCATION OF ARREST: N/A
SUSPECT: Black Male Adult, unknown tattoo on his neck, 18 – 25 years, 160 – 170 lbs, described as muscular build, clean shaven, short dark colored hair, wearing a white sleeveless v-neck t-shirt and dark jeans
RESUME OF INCIDENT:
On September 16, 2010 at approximately 11:47 am, the victim, who had parked her car in the east parking structure of the mall, was approached by the suspect as she was entering her car. The suspect demanded her car keys but when she could not produce them, he took jewelry from her person.
The victim fled the car at the first opportunity and ran for help. The suspect was unsuccessful in his attempt to take the victim’s car and fled the area on foot, also taking the victim’s purse. The suspect was last seen running west towards Arnele.
