TYPE OF INCIDENT: Assault with a Deadly Weapon
DATE OCCURRED: 09/14/10 at approximately 10:00 PM
LOCATION OF OCCURRENCE: 273 Wisconsin Ave., El Cajon
LOCATION OF ARREST: N/A
SUSPECT: A Hispanic male adult, approx. 20 yrs of age, 5’- 5” tall, 140 lbs., thin build, bald, wearing a grey sweater.
RESUME OF INCIDENT:
On 09/14/10 at approximately 2200 hours Officers from the El Cajon Police Department responded to a 911 call of a male subject calling for help. When the officers arrive they determined the lone adult male victim had suffered a single non-life threatening gunshot wound to his upper thigh. The 18 year old victim told officers he and his cousin were sitting in front of 273 Wisconsin when they were confronted by the listed suspect. The victim ran and was shot in the leg as he fled. Officers arriving on scene located alcoholic beverages in the area where the shooting is believed to have occurred. It is unknown if this shooting is gang related at this time. The victim was subsequently transported to Sharp Hospital for treatment.
There is very limited information at this time and the investigation is continuing.
The identity of the suspect is unknown.
