TYPE OF INCIDENT: Grant Awarded to El Cajon Police

DATE AND TIME OCCURRED: June 21, 2010

Type of Incident:San Diego County Law Enforcement Foundation Grant awarded to the El Cajon Police Department

RESUME OF INCIDENT:

In the 2009/2010 fiscal year, the El Cajon Police Department was awarded a grant from the San Diego County Law Enforcement Foundation (SDCLEF), which will enable officers to perform their duties safer. The grant of $3,660.00 was used to purchase two ballistic vests for the department Rangemasters and a less than lethal pepper ball launching system.

Over the years, SDCLEF has provided funding to local law enforcement agencies for equipment and educational scholarships. Their dedication to San Diego County’s Police and Sheriff’s Department has enabled agencies to purchase equipment which might not otherwise been acquired. The El Cajon Police Department is honored to have been granted this award. It is through the Foundation’s generosity and support that police agencies around the county can better serve and protect the citizens of their communities.
