TYPE OF INCIDENT: Attempt Homicide
OCCURRED 05/24/10 0228 hrs
LOCATION OF OCCURRENCE: 989 Peach Ave #91, Ave El Cajon
RESUME OF INCIDENT:
On 03/02/08 officers responded to a radio call of a victim being shot as the results of a domestic dispute. The suspect in this incident was identified as Sade Keyana Peterson 33 yrs from Florida. Peterson called police to report the shooting at approximately 0230hrs. During the conversation with the 911 operator the suspect gave the victim the phone and fled the scene. The victim was contacted by officers that arrived on scene and was found to have a single non-life threatening gun shot wound to her upper thigh. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she is currently receiving medical attention. The victim indicated that during the physical altercation with Peterson, Peterson recovered a handgun within the residence. The victim and Peterson struggled over the gun and the victim was shot. Peterson contacted the police at approximately 0400 hrs, and arranged to turn herself in. The suspect was taken into custody without incident in the parking lot of the Sears Auto Center at Parkway Plaza. The firearm used in this incident was also recovered from the vehicle the Peterson was driving. The victim’s six year old daughter was asleep in the residence during this incident and was unharmed. Base on information developed during the investigation Sade Kayana Peterson 33yrs, was booked into County Jail for 664/187 PC Attempt Murder.
