Returned Runaway - Maylona Franco

TYPE OF INCIDENT:
Return of Runaway Juvenile - Maylona Franco.
DATE AND TIME OCCURRED:
May 10, 2010, at approximately 4:30 pm.
RESUME OF INCIDENT:
On May 1st, 2010, cousins Maylona Franco (age16) and Sipriana Fierro (age 17), ran away from their respective homes in El Cajon. Reports were filed with the El Cajon Police Department, and extensive efforts were made to reunite the girls with their families. Information was received indicating the girls were in the Lakeside and Escondido areas however their exact locations could not be identified.
On May10, 2010, Maylona Franco contacted her mother and voluntarily returned home, confirming she had been in the Lakeside and Escondido areas and had stayed with an acquaintance whom she refused to identify. Telephone contact was made with Fierro and she was urged to return home to her family. She refused and the Police Department will continue it efforts to locate and return Fierro to her family.
