El Cajon Police set to Host Business Forum

RESUME OF INCIDENT:
The El Cajon Police Department will be hosting an informational meeting on Wednesday March 3, 2010 at 9:00 AM. The meeting is for merchants operating businesses on Second Street, between Main and Broadway. Members of the police department have been working to improve conditions for the business people and patrons in the area for many months. The El Cajon Police Department values partnerships with the community, and would like to give all business people in the area an opportunity to help in these efforts.

Through this meeting, members of the department hope to open communications with the merchants and share strategies which will make the area less desirable for those who break the law. In addition to members of the police department, social service providers will be in attendance to discuss issues related to the homeless population in the area. Other community partners will also be at the meeting to discuss issues in the area.

This meeting is an opportunity for business owners, managers and employees to discuss concerns in the area with members of the police department, social service providers and each other. Merchants are encouraged to attend this forum at the International House of Pancakes at 1286 Oakdale on March 3rd at 9:00 AM. Together, we can solve problems and make Second Street a vibrant commercial district.
