DATE OCCURRED: January 4, 2010, at approximately 11:00pm

LOCATION OF OCCURRENCE: Throughout the City of El Cajon

LOCATION OF ARREST:   600 S. Mollison, El Cajon

SUSPECT: Oswaldo Sanchez - 19 years of age, El Cajon resident
Aaron Menjuga - 18 years of age, El Cajon resident
Juvenile - 16 years of age

RESUME OF INCIDENT:

During the late evening hours several vehicles throughout the city had their windows shattered. At the time of the incidents, there was no suspect information.

At approximately 2250 hours, El Cajon Police Officer S. Leath's attention was drawn to a white 1994 Geo Metro occupied by three subjects in the 600 block of S. Mollison. One of the vehicle's passenger windows was rolled down and due to the outside temperature being as cold as it was, the officer thought this to be unusual and conducted a traffic stop after noticing one of its tail lights was inoperable. Upon contact with the occupants, the officer discovered numerous air and spring loaded BB-Guns, and thousands of BB-rounds and air cartridge reloads.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that these subjects had conspired to shoot out vehicle windows throughout the city. All three were taken into custody and charged with felony vandalism. The preliminary estimated damage to thirteen vehicles is in excess of $2,000.

Residents who have discovered similar damage to their vehicles are encouraged to contact the El Cajon Police Department at 619-579-3311.
