TYPE OF INCIDENT:    Hit and Run Investigation

DATE:           Wednesday October 14, 2009 – 9:55pm

LOCATION OF OCCURRENCE: E. Madison and Lindsey St



The El Cajon Police Department is asking for help from the community in the investigation of a hit and run collision.

Wednesday evening at about 9:55pm, members of the El Cajon Police and Fire Departments responded to a collision involving a vehicle versus bicyclist at E. Madison near Lindsey St. Upon arriving at the scene of the collision police discovered the bicyclist on the side walk in critical condition. The driver of the automobile left the scene after striking the bicyclist and police were unable to locate the vehicle or driver.

The 47 year old male victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Witnesses near the scene described the suspect vehicle as a 90’s model GM product similar to a Pontiac Grand Am or Buick. The vehicle is described as dark in color, possibly maroon. The vehicle will most likely have some damage to the front end and windshield.
