TYPE OF INCIDENT: School burglary and vandalism

LOCATION OF OCCURRENCE: 651 S. Third, El Cajon


BUSINESS NAME: Meridian Elementary School


SUSPECT: 2 15 year old juveniles and 2 16 year old juveniles


SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:


RESUME OF INCIDENT:

Officers responded to an alarm activation at Meridian School. Officers Melissa Calderon and Austin Smith arrived at the school and caught four juveniles just as they were exiting one of the classrooms. The juveniles, two girls and two boys ages 15 and 16, had broken into the classroom and had vandalized the room by throwing glue and glitter on the floors, walls, and the teachers desk. They also wrote obscenities on the floor. They were found in possession of a school projector and DVD player. The damage to the classroom is estimated at over $3,000.00 dollars. The four juveniles were booked into Juvenile Hall.
