TYPE OF INCIDENT: Armed Robbery and Arrest
OCCURRED 03/12/09 at 0600
LOCATION OF OCCURRENCE: 1500 Block of Granite Hills Dr. El Cajon
RESUME OF INCIDENT:
On 03/12/09 at approximately 0600 hrs, an armed street robbery occurred in the 1500 block of Granite Hills Dr. in El Cajon. Two suspects approached the victim and asked him for the time. As the victim looked at his cell phone one of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s wallet and cell phone. After receiving these items the suspects fled the area on foot. The victim followed and provided the responding police officers with a description of the suspects and a vehicle description they were seen leaving in. Officers responding to the area located the suspect vehicle at the Arco Gas, 1100 E. Washington. Both suspects were located in the vehicle along with a handgun and the victim’s property. Nicholas Anthony Hines 27 yrs of age, of El Cajon and Joseph Wesley Jahner 26 yrs of age, of San Diego, were arrested for Armed Robbery and booked into County Jail.
