Grant Awarded to El Cajon Police

TYPE OF INCIDENT:
San Diego County Law Enforcement Foundation Grant awarded to the El Cajon Police Department
RESUME OF INCIDENT:
The El Cajon Police Department has been awarded a grant from the San Diego County Law Enforcement Foundation (SDCLEF), which will enable officers to carry out more effective investigations in the City. The grant of $4,200.00 was used to purchase covert digital surveillance equipment, which is an essential safety tool for undercover officers.
SDCLEF is dedicated to serving the needs of San Diego County’s Police and Sherriff’s Departments. Each year SDCLEF awards grants to local law enforcement agencies for the purchase of equipment which might not otherwise be acquired. The El Cajon Police Department understands that all applicants had worthwhile projects and very much appreciate that SDCLEF awarded a portion of the available funds to our agency. With the equipment acquired through this grant, the officers of the El Cajon Police Department will be better able to conduct safe and effective investigations, with the ultimate benefactors being the citizens of El Cajon.
