LOCATION OF OCCURRENCE: 575 Fletcher Parkway, El Cajon


BUSINESS NAME:    Sears


SUSPECT:       Unknown


SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:    White female, 25-35 years, medium build, blonde hair

SUSPECT VEHICLE:   Dark colored SUV

RESUME OF INCIDENT:

On 9-29-08 at about 8:45 PM, loss prevention agents at Sears watched a woman leave the store without paying for merchandise. The suspect ran from the store with a loss prevention agent chasing her. As she got to her dark colored SUV the agent identified himself in an attempt to stop her. Rather than complying, the suspect accelerated towards the agent, striking him on the left side of his body and drove away. The agent suffered minor injuries.

The theft was recorded on the store’s video surveillance system. Members of the community are encouraged to go to www.elcajonpolice.org/OpenCases to view a photograph of the suspect. People with information on the identity of the suspect in this case should contact Det. Mark Barber at (619) 441-5596.
