SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:
RESUME OF INCIDENT:
On September 7, 2008, at about 12:45 PM the El Cajon Police Department received a 911 call about a stabbing in the 1100 block E. Main Street. Police and Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and found the victim with multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital where he underwent surgery to treat his wounds. The victim had a total of 14 stab wounds to his head and chest.
Detectives were able to identify Simon Peter Lewis, 10-11-78, as a possible suspect in the attack. He was located and taken into custody for parole violation. As the investigation progressed, evidence was located that further linked Lewis to the crime, and he was charged with 664/187 PC, Attempted Murder.
The victim remains in the hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.
