Retired Officer Bill Mesa

El Cajon Press Release
The employees of the City of El Cajon are deeply saddened
at the news of retired Police Agent Bill Mesa's accidental
death. Bill began his career as a police officer in 1979.
He worked a variety of assignments in Patrol,
Investigations, and Traffic Division.
Bill earned a reputation as a very honest and caring hard
worker. He always placed the citizens of El Cajon in high
regard. Bill was selected by his peers as the Officer of
the Year in 1988. He valued this honor and continued to
earn it. He was promoted to the rank of Agent in 1994 and
retired in 2000.
Our deepest sympathy is with Bill's family and friends
during this very difficult time. He will be missed by all
of us here at the City of El Cajon.
