Investigators from the El Cajon Police Department have 
identified a possible burglary series occurring in the 
Fletcher Hills area of El Cajon. There have been eight 
residential burglary cases between January 8 and February 
28 that may be related. All of the burglaries have 
occurred during the daytime while residents were away from 
home. The loss in each of the cases included small items 
such as cash and jewelry that could be easily carried by 
the suspects, sometimes in pillowcases. The suspects 
usually entered the homes through unlocked doors or 
windows. 
 
Officers are aware of these cases and have increased 
patrols in the Fletcher Hills area, but the police 
department needs the assistance of members of the 
community. Residents should always lock their doors and 
windows and be aware of activity in their neighborhoods.  
If individuals are seen acting suspiciously, people are 
encouraged to call the police department so we can identify 
these people, and possible stop them from committing a 
crime.
