EL CAJON POLICE DEPT. - PRESS RELEASE INFORMATION SHEET
TYPE OF INCIDENT: D.U.I. / LICENSE CHECKPOINT
DATE: 8:00 PM March 21, 2008 – 2:30 AM March 22, 2008

DUI / LICENSE CHECKPOINT SCHEDULED MARCH 21, 2008.
The El Cajon Police Department will have a DUI / LICENSE
CHECKPOINT on Friday, March 21 2008, from 8:00 p.m. until
2:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2008. The checkpoint is
designed to reduce the number of D.U.I. incidents in the
City of El Cajon, and people driving without valid driver’s
licenses.
Officers will be looking for Motorists who appear to be
driving under the influence. Those who appear to be under
the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will be given field
sobriety tests and face possible arrest. Motorists who are
driving without licenses and/ or driving on suspended
licenses will be cited and their vehicles will be
impounded.

California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration.”
