SUSPECTS: James Ross Wallace, 1-1-51 
Jason Douglas Wallace, 3-9-75 
 
RESUME OF INCIDENT: (NOT TO INCLUDE DIRECT QUOTATIONS) 
 
On Wednesday February 27, 2008, the El Cajon Police 
Department received information about a suspicious package 
that was being shipped from El Cajon to Hilliard, OH. The 
package was found to contain approximately 45 pounds of 
marijuana. With the assistance of the DEA Parcel 
Interdiction Task Force in Columbus, OH, a controlled 
delivery of the marijuana was arranged today. The person 
accepting delivery of the drugs in Ohio was arrested.  
 
During the investigation in Ohio, James Ross Wallace, 
1-1-51, of El Cajon was contacted. Wallace was found to be 
associated with the shipment of the marijuana from El Cajon 
on the 27th. A search warrant was served on Wallace’s 
hotel room, where approximately $38,000.00 in cash and a 
rifle were found and seized. Detectives from the Special 
Investigations Unit of the El Cajon Police Department 
searched Wallace’s residence in El Cajon, where 
approximately ½ pound of marijuana, marijuana packaging 
material and 10 guns were seized. During the search of 
Wallace’s residence, his 32-year-old son, Jason Douglas 
Wallace was contacted and arrested. 
 
James Ross Wallace and a second person were arrested by 
authorities in Ohio for marijuana trafficking charges.  
Jason Douglas Wallace was arrested for Possession of less 
than an Ounce of Marijuana and released on a citation.
