RESUME OF INCIDENT: (NOT TO INCLUDE DIRECT QUOTATIONS) 
 
On February 20, 2008 the El Cajon Police Department’s 
Special Investigations Unit conducted an undercover 
prostitution detail targeting female street prostitutes. A 
total of nine females were arrested for prostitution 
related charges.  
 
Detectives learned that one of these arrestees, Laura Lee 
Schumann, was responsible for a 16-year-old juvenile’s 
involvement in prostitution activity. Schumann was also 
charged with 266i (b)(1) PC Pandering with a Minor, and 
booked into Las Colinas Detention Facility. The juvenile 
arrestee was booked into Juvenile Hall for 647(b) PC, 
Agreeing to an act of Prostitution.  
 
Another arrestee, Lisa Marie Gray, was charged with 
providing a false name, and was found to have a felony 
arrest warrant from Arizona. Gray was booked into Las 
Colinas Detention Facility. All other arrestees were 
arrested for misdemeanor charges and released on citations. 
 
 
Upon conviction of the prostitution related charges, the 
arrestees may be placed on geographic probation. Upon 
being placed on geographic probation, they will be ordered 
to refrain from certain activities in specified areas of El 
Cajon. Members of the public may go to our web site, 
www.elcajonpolice.org, to view those convicted of 
prostitution who have been placed on this type of 
probation.  
 
The El Cajon Police Department routinely conducts 
undercover prostitution enforcement targeting prostitutes 
and their customers. Operations such as this one will 
continue on a periodic basis.
