TYPE OF INCIDENT: 245 PC Assault w/a Deadly Weapon
DATE AND TIME OCCURRED: 1-11-08 6:20 pm
LOCATION OF OCCURRENCE: 250 S. Marshall
BUSINESS NAME: El Cajon Trolley Center
SUSPECT: #1- Jose Reyes, HMA 27 yrs
#2- HMA, 15 yrs, Student
RESUME OF INCIDENT: Trolley security officers were
conducting routine enforcement at the El Cajon main trolley
center when they confronted suspect Reyes for possessing an
open container of alcohol. Reyes became combative during
the contact and fought with security personnel. During the
fight a 15 yr old relative with the suspect struck the
security officer in the head with a rock injuring him in an
attempt to prevent the arrest. This juvenile fled the scene
on foot and was later located and arrested by police
responding to the incident. The security officer was
transported to the hospital where he received stitches for
a large laceration to his head. Suspect Reyes was arrested
at the scene by police.
